Having used Mconnect w/ my Hugo 2Go, all you should have to do is log in to Tidal in the MConnect settings. In my case, I use Qobuz and can stream from Mconnect to my 2Go without logging into Qobuz in GoFigure, I just log into Qobuz in Mconnect after which Qobuz content shows up in the Browser tab.

Edit: My understanding is that logging into Tidal/Qobuz in GoFigure allows for browsing content in a folder hierarchy (not graphical) but I personally couldn't get GoFigure to log into my Qobuz account no matter what I tried so I abandoned that option altogether.
Mconnect works as you describe with Poly. It is my goto app for streaming.

I bought it from Hifihut in Ireland. They say on their website that the firmware is v 1.0.26. I hope it will not be too much of a hassle.
The update from v 1.0.26 to v 1.0.41 should be straightforward, but I found it confusing using the config pin.
Even so poly updated automatically, when I connected it to the web, and left it alone to get on with the update.
V 1.0.41 contains code to enable the update to v 2.0.0 - this update is straightforward using GoFigure.

Thanks.
Just received my unit. Apparently it was running v 2.03 so no problems setting up and upgrading to 2.04.
Funny thing is that the Poly had been set up by another user with his Tidal credentials even though the shop’s description did not imply this.
Well, everything is now running smoothly. I am very happy with my purchase.

Apologies if this has already been covered but is there a reason why Poly's playback mode has to be manually toggled for Roon Ready vs. Everything else? I find it pretty inconvenient (since GoFigure takes several seconds to find and connect to Poly) and this workflow isn't required w/ 2Go.

Is it a resource limitation issue? Perhaps not all services can be running at the same time?

It’s a good question and a difference from 2Go. Maybe something in the way they’ve implemented multiple services for 2Go is responsible for the “vinyl” pops and clicks some users are getting.

I love Mojo and it is my choice of dac/amp when traveling light. Reading about all those issues Poly had I wonder is it wise to buy it. It would be great addon from my perspective assuming it just works like it should? What are you opinions?

I have the mojo/poly for traveling. It's not near as buggy or problematic as this thread makes it seem. There is a very high ratio of complaints/issues in this thread. Add in the fact that up until firmware 2.0, the firmware update process was ridiculous. Also, it seems like chord used early poly adopters as beta testers for their concept. That didn't sit well with many.

I use it mainly as a roon endpoint. I've used it as a music server using dlna and the onboard mpd. It is every bit reliable as any other wireless networked device. Is it perfect? No. However, whenever I use it, it works very well with minimal if any issues.

@Daniel Johnston thank you for the feedback. I would mainly use sd card interface and use it with streaming services like Tidal and Spotify. I am currently using it when on road with xDuoo X10T II - some say such setup gives better SQ than with Poly: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/cho...n-3rd-post-◄★☆.784602/page-2701#post-15833698

Any feedback on Poly SQ vs other solutions?

I’ve only connected mojo to iPhone or iMac. I do notice a SQ difference compared to poly. The poly is better. I think the poly is sending a clean usb signal to mojo. I don’t think the iPhone or iMac necessarily did. It all depends on how much you want to stack and carry. I doubt your sacrificing much if anything SQ wise to gain the portability of the poly mojo combo.

Does the Poly ever go on sale in the UK or the EU? I grabbed the Mojo last year on a nice sale from a HiFi shop in Austria. Can I expect to find a sale for the Poly as well at some point?

All the Chord gear was 20% off recently. My usual shop has sales on the Poly frequently. Not sure if they ship outside CR though the distributor spans a few countries.

Check empetria.cz and see if you can find a retail shop in a desirable country.

Thanks. I actually just found it at 18% off. It must be the last remnants of the sale you mentioned... :)

I have found it to be a touch more reliable than Tidal's app on my iPhone. I did some experiments yesterday and a/b'ed Tidal and Spotify. Tidal was the most buggy while Spotify was running slightly better. Closing all apps and running Mconnect solely was the best option. I love the Poly but still find it somewhat annoying with dropouts, noise etc. Any suggestions on how to make it run smoother? My internet connection is very fast but 5ghz and 2.4ghz are not split out. So the units connected to my wifi must figure this out on their own. They are not allocated to a certain frequency. It might help to change this? I have to discuss this with my ISP.

Just dont. It's been a nightmare for me. And now I'm having to go to the small claims court in nz to try to get my money back, because the shop I bought it from are being crappy, and wont even stand by the product, telling me that they will charge more than $100, every time one of the numerous intermittent faults crops up, and requires HOURS of fiddling, to try to get the bloddy thing to connect again, most of the time, without success. This, on top of the 3 hour round trip, there. (And chord were never any good about the whole thing, either). STAY AWAY. I used to be a very happy mojo owner. I actually cant believe that Chord released this thing. They absolutly KNOW how crappy it is, and yet I'm gaslighted by the shop (and, they say, the chord rep, although they wont give me the rep's details), and told that the problems are all in my head. Its cynical.

FWIW I believe the huge problems were being had by android users, and that iphone users experience was more positive. My problems related to constant dropouts, stuttering, poor software implementation, and worst of all the poly completely disappearing from my network and remaining stubbornly invisible, and impossible to connect to. Search for my posts in this forum, but, tbh, I just gave up after a while. Everyone is trying their best to help, but, frankly, this is a POS product, and how chord can show their face in public after it, is beyond me.

@alekc do it. Got a Poly recently- it is most excellent with everything I have thrown at it so far.

It is a truly amazing little thing!
