I've currently own the HD598 and HE 560.  I recently trialed the HD800 to see if it would replace the HE 560, however the treble and ssss's were killing my ears so I sadly returned them.  A month later I went to the air force base for my physical and did an audiogram (hearing test).  I found out I have great hearing with extra sensitivity at the upper range.  Now it made sense to me why headphones like the HD800 did not sound great to me.  Does anyone know of a suitable headphone with liner bass, linear mids, but a slightly decreased treble?

0 dB HL is the softest sound that the average normal hearer can detect – it is the average normal hearer’s threshold.   Not everyone has perfect 0 dB HL thresholds at all frequencies.  There is a range of what is normal.  Some will be able to hear a little better than normal and have a negative threshold (e.g. –5 or –10 dB HL), while some will be a little worse than average (+5 or + 10 dB HL).

Here is my audiogram
