Hi everyone,

I am looking for some advice re: full-size headphones.
These will be used with an Onkyo DP-X1. The price is not that important, as long as it is below ~$2K (cheaper is always better, of course!).

The main criteria are weight (lower is better), comfort (over-ears preferred), and ability to be used with the balanced output of the DP-X1.
So far, I have narrowed my field to three models: Beyerdynamic T1, T5, and Sony MDR-Z7.

Of these, I was only able to try out the Sony. There are not too many choices where I live. I found it it extremely comfortable. However, it does not come with a native balanced cable that would be directly compatible with the DP-X1; and I would probably like to go for an open-back headphone.

The T1 is semi-open, and I can get either a native 2.5mm balanced version, or buy a cable from Astell & Kern. And I really like the looks of the T1.

Can someone who has heard/tried both provide some perspective? Which one would you choose if you were getting just one? And what about the T5?
