I am ready to get an amp for my ipod and er4s. I like the small xin and wonder if any of you who have had or have both. How much bigger is the transit than the xin? I am still such a newbie at this but I know I need an amp when I use my 4p to 4s converter. I don't know which is better and I know that would be a personal opinion anyway, so I'm thinking mostly of portability. Also when both transit and xin say they will include a 4p to 4s converter... does that mean I would no longer need the cable that I paid and extra $50 for?

1st, this post should be moved to the amp section.

2nd, I have had both the supermini v6 and a maxed Headsave Transit using er-4p with a converter cable. I prefer the Transit over the supermini. It just sounds more natural and better seperation of instruments. I gives everything a 3D kind of effect. You can hear instruments side to side and front and back. The Transit is a little bigger than my 20gig Ipod. The supermini was less than half the size and just velcros on the side. You need a bag for the Transit. There is now a supermini v6.2d which is supposed to be better but I don't know if it beats a maxed out Transit.

3rd, whichever amp you get, leave the converter out since you already have the cable. Leaving the converter out will allow you to use the amp with any headphones instead of just the er-4p.

You are right, sorry about the posting in the wrong section. I rarely look at the amp forum being a newbie and didn't even think about it. Thanks for the reply. I would'nt care if I needed to use a bag to carry it, I just wonder if the newer super mini is close to the transit. I will keep my eye on more replies. Thanks again.
