So I headed to the local Best buy because my creative zen v died on me. I expected them to take it to look at, but instead they took the box, and gave me a full refund on my mp3 player and the warranty I bought. For some reason though, they decided to give me more money than what my zen was worth. In the end, I got $285 in store credit ($$).

Originally, I was planning on getting the Cowon d2. However, best buy doesn't carry the cowon line, and I never expected to get so much money back (I was planning to buy the D2, and spend the refund money on random things).

Best Buy Canada*MP3 Players

Those are the mp3 options that are available to me. I'm kind of disappointed that Canada best buy's don't carry the newer Sony DAP's (8xx), but oh well.
The only one that sticks out for me is the SanDisk View, but there hasn't really been reviews about it on this forum : (

I'm reluctant to get an iPod, but with the money I have, the 80gb classic is also an option I suppose.

I currently have grado sr80's and JVC Marshmallow w/ Kramer mod, and a PA2V2 amp. The music I am usually listening to now is classical, and alternative music in the vein to Broken social scene.

Thank's a lot !

You could get the Sansa Fuze, if it's available now here in Canada.

store credit usually in a form of gift card... if it is... sell it for 260 or a little more, lots of ppl would jump on it

definately... if u really want the sony 82X, find a way to get the store credit for cash then buy it... i just got the 4g 726( no bluetooth) white 1 from sonystyle.ca... it was only a total of 157 with free shipping

Yea, sell the store credit on craigslist or kijiji and buy what you want from wherever you want!

The last time I went to FutureShop in Vancouver, I saw a whole bunch of people from Microsoft Zune setting up the display for the Zunes which are coming to Canada.

If you wait a bit, I'm sure you'll be able to get the Zune. I played around with the flash one myself, and I liked it a lot!
