Hi friends,

I'm looking to get a high end, not high cost, ideally bus power-able asynchronous USB-Toslink interface to use with my iPhone (via CCK) and computer.

I've seen a lot of AliExpress/Ebay products that use an XMOS chip and .1 ppm gold plated TCXOs... but nobody seems to have used them before. Similar TCXOs are used in the Gustard U12, which people seem to like. Something like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2018-XMOS-...773804?hash=item1a4e0f472c:g:5lUAAOSwqxRa78xM

Or this mystery gem that can use bus power or an external power supply but has no gold plated TXCOs -> (preview of and link to Alibaba): https://preview.tinyurl.com/yxhvmv93

Do these imported interfaces really work as well as I'm hoping? Does the gold .1 ppm TXCO vs SMD Japanese clock make a noticeable difference?

Thank you!
Eugene

I use an interface like this (though not chinese made), but very similar. XMOS based also, for my older version Benchmark DAC1 that does not have USB. It works perfectly.
