Chieftans recommendation

If you had to reco 1 Chieftans' album, which would it be and why?

Because it's the only one I have, but also because I love this CD.

I don't have any purely Chieftans CD's, but I do have three of their CD's where they team up with other artists. I think the best of the three is "The Long Black Veil". If you're not looking for a purist Chieftans CD this is a very good choice. Even Tom Jones sounds good on this CD.

Go find a copy of Chieftains I -- I believe it provided the soundtrack to Kubrick's 'Barry Lyndon'.

Amazon has Chieftain's 1-4 on compilation cd (you'd probably find it elsewhere):

IMHO your best best is to get these old Claddagh recordings on LP.

I just found 1 and 4 on mint vinyl on eBay & bought them both for $15.
