Abt is overpriced for what? Maybe their online shop is expensive, but when you go in person, you get some of the best deals to be found in the country.

Otherwise check out Little Guys or Music In Motion

One thing i'll say for sure is stay away from the large retail chaings, ABT, Bestbuy, and so on, not only are they over price but more importantly the quality is not there. Retail chains care more about the quick buck and less about quality, you are just $$ to them. You are much better off going with a smaller company who knows their stuff, you will get a better and more custom theater build to you needs.

We recently did a similar setup to what you are talking about in our basement, projector screen on the wall, ceiling mounted projector, surround sound speaker setup, the whole 9 yards. We used a company called rex networking i think their site is Welcome to Rex Networking - Business and Residential IT Solutions - Home Theater Solutions we were actually refered to them by a friend of ours, they hung a tv over his fireplace and it looked awesome, we will probably be doing that next year, but for what it's worth they were very professional, personal and friendly service, smaller company but the service and quality of their work just blows the retail chains away.

I was thinking of using IWire in Logan Square after seeing my friends theater. He had a pretty nice set-up with all of the equipment in a rack under the stairs all controlled with a universal remote.

I have to say there's an inordinate amount of first posts in this thread.

Just my 2 cents of buyer beware.

Also: I'm in the same area, and looking toward the future will probably be going through the home theater as well, so let me know what you go with.
