Doing a search of thread titles didn't turn up any of these results. Just wondering if anyone here likes any of them. Some of it will be dismissed as mainstream crap by the usual anti-conformist crowd I'm sure, but I've seen nearly all of the aforementioned groups live and they are all very skilled acts IMO. Take Hoobastank for example...I know a lot of people can't stand them because of the airtime that songs like "The Reason" got. For a time, it seemed you couldn't turn on the radio without hearing it. But (and I find this to be the case with many groups) the best songs on the album aren't the ones that receive major airtime. Ditto with Chevelle - The Red and SOTY - Until the Day I Die. In many cases, there are superior tracks to the ones selected as "singles" for the album. And all of these guys can really rock on stage.

So...any fans?

I picked up Chevelle after listening to pieces from "This Kind of Thinking (Could Do Us In)" at a listening station in a local store. Not the kind of music I can listen to all the time, but good stuff regardless.

To me Chevelle is far and away the best of the bunch, but I do like the Breaking Benjamin song on the radio currently.I can't stand any of the others mentioned, they all sound like their whining.I just got "Point #1" and it is good, but I think Chevelle has evolved into a much better band with WWN and TKOT.Gary.

I'm just adding my .02 about New Found Glory. I saw them live a few years ago when I was a freshman, and it was the worst $20 I ever spent. Either they were just "off" that night, or the really can't play live music. You can tell the studio really gives them a hand in sounding good, because I had to take my shoes off to count notes screwed up by the bassist and the lead guitarist. But, like I said earlier, they could have had a down night, or been sick etc...But the night I saw them, they sucked.
