First of all, many people may disagree with me but I have the firm thought that most expensive cables are snake-oil.

I'm just looking for some quality thick cable that goes from mini to RCA. I wish for it to have thick round shielding.

Looking for as cheap as possible. Advice?

I wouldn't recommend APureSound if you're looking for cheaper stuff than Dimarzio, not that Alex makes bad cables but it's a bit more expensive than Dimarzio. I owned a IC from him and it was really really good BTW, just not what I would call a bang for the buck product, more of a ''I'll never have to buy another cable'' type. APureSound cables and cheap shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence IMO.

Maybe you should contact Turbo, I guess he can make you one for about $50-60.

If you have the technical ability, I suggest making your own. Grab a pair of high quality RBA/mini plugs (Switchcraft/Canare are obvious suspects), your favorite color of starquad mic cable, and some techflex if you want - maybe some heatshrink for labelling the R/L channels, or colored electrical tape. I built a 10ft. mini-mini for less than 20 bucks, and it's pretty solid. That price was also with techflex, which really doesn't do anything but add visual appeal (it's expensive, too, much more than the cable itself), so you could probably build one for cheaper than mine.

If DIY is out of the question, grab the monster cable listed above. Monster's usually somewhat overpriced, but in this situation it's pretty reasonable. IMHO I think the DIY cable will be higher quality though.

Some of the Neutrik minis have a bigger opening to cater for the standard 6mm starquad (L-4E6S). Otherwise you can try the starquad mini (L-4E5C).

I have made a few of these and they sound fine to my ears.

Mine does.

Though I'm a firm believer in cabling making a difference, I also believe above a certain price point the returns drastically diminish. And that price point is pretty low. I absolutely love Mogami's mini mic quad cable which can be had for relatively little money. Terminate with Neutrik's mini plug (casing needs to be enlarged a bit to fit around the rubber sheath) and inexpensive but very nice Neutrik RCAs and you've got quite the nice IC for little money.
