Cheap or realy tough ipod LOD

My Qables, LOD just died, and since this will be my third IC in like 6 month, i was wondering if there was a cheaper product that offer line out straight out of the ipod. My first two were TurboDockIII and now the qables, im pretty tired that all my calbes dies on me like that. I'm not ruff on these, i just put them in my pocket and forget about it, it's not like i am running marathon and all. Anyway if you know a cheap product, don't care about the quality as long as it come out of the line out. Or if you know about a really sturdy LOD, but i don't think it exist cause of the tiny connection in the dock, seem to be fragile as hell. Thank you.

ALO cryo dock is supposedly indestructible (more or less). I have one and, outside of taking a wire cutter to it, I cant really see how I could damage this little thing. Plus Ken is great.

It doesnt meet your cheap criteria, but it meets your durability requirement.

Where are the LODs breaking? The Cryo seems to be famous for its durability, but you must be careful when putting these things into your pocket. Excess pressure may be exerted on the connector itself at weird angles, which would result in a broken dock.

^Since i wear baggy jeans most of the time they aren't exposed to a lot of pressure, my first 2 were the dock itself...pretty clear since they were turbodock, but the qables LOD problem come from the cable. I knew that since it is solid silver it were fragile, but i didn't tought it was THAT fragile. Next time ill get something more flexible. Does the Cryo meet that requirement? If so i might look for one if i don't get a replacement for my Qables LOD

Somwhere on Kens site he said he bent the cryo back and forth for a half an hour and it was good as new. I havent tried that, but it is extremely flexible.

Damn didn't tought that Cryo was that costy, that totaly blow my cheap requirement away. Thank you guys anyway for taking time to try to help me. Ill wait for an answer from Hans at Qables to see what ill do. I found a pretty cheap LOD with Sik Ram Din product. But i don't know if it is that easy to find here in Canada. Anyway if you have other idea let me know for cheap product first since i'm a little broke these days.

If youve got any skills with a soldering iron, you could always build yourself an LOD, its what i did for practically nothig $ wize. I throw mine in my pocket just like you do, and its perfectly fine.

Yea seriously.. just get some stranded copper 24 guage wire, heatshrink, neutrik plug, and some dock connector and make yourself one. For a step up you can also make a bootleg cotton dox by getting silver plated copper and a clean new shoelace =D.

You can get the silver plated cable from a ebay user named navships and he has a ebay store. Pretty cheap for 10USD can get a roll.

Maybe this will be an option later on, but my DIY skill aren't up to this kind of job. CantSleep build be a cable for my K81DJ, so ill have to solder it myself, maybe this will be a new beggining for DIY project, hope so.

Hans answer to my email, the first reply didn't get in (damn hotmail) but he is gonna repair my LOD and he is gonna ad an inch to the cable to get better flexibility. Great services, he's great, cost two shipping, realy cheap to repair this complicated piece of equipement =D. So im gonna find what's wrong with my pimeta, hope ill find it before my LOD come back hehehe. Problem solved!

I have been using my Pocket Dock and a Turbo IC for over a year w/o any problem. Here is a very poor picture:
