For the UK try Maplins if you have one locally. Other than that try qables, which I see from your sig you know about.

Maplins have cheap, but they don't have short, as far as I am aware. The shortest I could find the last time I looked was 1.5m, hardly pocket size.

Check out 'magicpocket' on ebay uk. I have bought a mini to mini (he was happy to customise the length to 6") and was very happy with it + I felt the price was reasonable. He also does headphone extension cables and some other types.
