i have ATH-AC7 headphones, and they are great for listening to music and watch movies. problem is, they tend to make a lot of pressure on my ears, and after a period of six gaming hours, pain gets unbearable.
so now, i'm searching for an additional headphones, only for gaming. basically, only for one game, world of warcraft. so i don't need to hear loud explosion clearly, i don't need to know if an enemy comes from my right or left side etc. i only need a nice hp, that deliver a nice sound for a cheap price, and most important of all, to be very comfortable.
i'm thinking, HD-202.
what do you think?

The Sennheiser HD-202 is the audio equivalent of chronic diarrhea. Buy yourself a KOSS KSC-75 and don't look back.

the KSC75 seems more suitable for a use with mp3 player for their small dimensions. will they be comfortable wearing for very long periods of time? something around 16-18 hours tops.

btw, i havn't found a store that ships this item to israel. if anyone knows such a store, i will be happy to get a link

I'd recommend the steelsound 5h (or the new 5h v2). I don't like it that much with music but it's especially designed for gaming with great positioning and good sepatation.
But it has very weak midrange so certain music sounds strange. But they are excellent for gaming. (Better than my a900ltd)

And they have pull out microphone inside one of the cans. Good if you’re using TS.

When it comes to gaming it is better to use a gaming headset. You get better directional sound since they are tweaked to perform in that field. Some people prefer to buy sennheiser though they produce the same qualities as headphones for about half the price unless you get a gaming specific headphone from sennheiser.. then they run alittle cheaper than reg ones

Yea I agree with reivaj. If you'd like a cheap gaming hp, go for a headset, like Steelsound or Icemat Siberia. (Maybe sennheiser but i haven't heard them so I cannot really recommend it)

From the times that I've listned to the siberia and the steelsound I would say that
Gaming: Steelsound > Siberia
Music: Siberia > Steelsound

Siberia & Steelsound are to expensive guys, they cost around 80-100$, and i was thinking around 50$, since i will use this set only for WOW game and it really doesn't require such an expensive hp.

should just buy the 20$ ho and get over with it

I bought my icemats for 40 dollars, and at buy.com i think the steelpad 5hv2 are on sale for 36 dollars.

dont buy from the manufacturers... buy them from other sites or use stuff like www.amazon.com or www.pricegrabber.com to help you find the right price

I think that the philips sbc hp800 (or the new 805) Are quite good considering their price. I have a review in a mag somewhere. I'll go and see if I can find it.

Yea agree. Also good hp's for the price. Sounds like my portas but a little less bass and more airy (better positioning in games?).
