With the large upcoming DynaHi PCB group purchase, I figured a few would be interested in sources of cheap heatsinks. These are the best I've found.
C & H Sales has a decent selection, including some nice cross-cut ones, but there is a $30 min order ($5 extra if less). I've purchased from them before with no problems, though it's been at least 5 years.
I took my chances with Surplus Sales of Nebraska and ordered a pair of part (HSK) HS-TWS @ $5 each. They have a $10 min order + $7 S&H (might be a partial refund?).
This sink may be a bit large, luckily, I have access to a machine shop and can easily knock it down some. Better to go large when preordering. Though without a way to reduce the size, a more considered chassis layout would be a Good Idea.
If anyone else knows of other good surplus dealers, I'd be glad to know too...
