I only have experience with the HD681...I used to have them, I really liked them, but they don't have a ton of bass...that was their biggest flaw, for my tastes. If you are listening to music that doesn't have a ton of bass they are wonderful...acoustic music sounded great on them...but hip hop or edm...most popular types of music, they were bass light.

Thanks for the answer, the 681 seems to have the best sound quality (based on reviews) but the lack of bass is a bad point... On the other side, they seem to be good for gaming too so that's a good point for them compared to the others, at least with the Sony's that are the smaller of them.
