Hi can anyone recommend some good headphones in this price range? its for someone who listens to rock mainly but also pop etc. (this is for my sister) Also sound isolation would be nice as she will be using them on the bus etc and durability as well.

EDIT: i see that theres a buyers thread for this, i'll ask there if thats better

I think for that price and the isolation requirement, you're better off getting IEM's

well, she has some IEMs already, i think she'll be using them inside a lot on the pc too. I've made a more detailed post in the buying thread.

Sony MDR-570LP (reviewed on headfonia.com) is available in various colours from Dixons and Play for £20.

Beyerdynamic DT235 (reviewed in ljokerl's thread on portables) is £35 from iheadphones currently in white (which may appeal more than the black).

See towards end of last year someone on Head-Fi raved about Pioneer SEMJ31; about £30 from HughesDirect (or via Amazon). Maybe their more chunky look will not appeal.
