i own a grado sr60

but its next to impossible to hear anything while i'm travelling to and from school

i've spent quite a lot on the grado [s$120]

so the v6/7506, hd280 and dt250-80 [all wonderful phones from what i've read here] are out of contention

what's left?

ur30
hd212

thanks for help in advance

HD212 doesn't fold, although they do isolate fairly well and feature pretty good sound (although with a bass that's a tad too powerful). The UR phones, according to MacDEF, don't really isolate.

Take a look at audiocubes.com.

Avoid the Eggo MDR-D22SL - but the cheapo folding phones from Audio-Technica might be viable as well.

Only the UR40; the UR20 and UR30 isolate fairly well.

If it helps you any, you can find the V6 for ~$60 at several web site businesses by searching shopping.yahoo.com. I know that's still not a small amount but it's much smaller than the price you have may have seen in stores.

Looks like the cheapest at the moment is $69. I've seen them $55--just depends on when you do the search.
