Cheap External Sound Card?

So my laptop pulled a humpty-dumpty and the headphone jack is toast. I need an external device to get sound output from my laptop without slowing it down too much. All the USB DAC's y'all seem to be discussing are priced in the stratosphere...I just need decent SQ (I'm sure anything's better than stock) for preferably less than $50, definitely less than $100. All the ones I've seen in this range are relative unknowns...suggestions? Thanks!

Look on Ebay - and there's the $50. Should be an upgrade over the TB (I think).
