Hey guys,

Maybe it's just the combination of software/file-type I'm using, but I don't notice an improvement over the SB Audigy 1.

I'm listening to all 128-192kbs mp3's, ripped directly from CD. I'm using WMP without the equalizer on.

The card sounds good, but I don't know that it sounds any better than the Audigy 1 did. Aside from that, I notice that this card puts out a significantly quieter volume than the Audigy did. Has anybody else noticed this?

The quality of your mp3 files may be part of the reason. Also, try Foobar2000 + Kernel streaming/ASIO. It takes some experimenting to get the most out of the AV710.

Do a search for AV710 to see the relevant threads about AV710/ASIO4ALL/Foobar2000.

So Kernal Streaming will work with the AV710? I plan on getting this card in a week
