Hey i've been lurking around for a bit trying to figure out what i'm going to get myself for my birthday tommorrow, and basically i'm trying to set up an intro system that will give me some upgrading flexibility for the future (eh who needs food on a student's budget anyways)...
so i'm looking everything used... i have a laptop, (so i cant go the EMU route...) a Sonica/ audiotrak soundcard, into some sort of Used DAC, into a used headphone amp... (i do have the headphones...)
so the stuff ive been seeing online used (http://www4.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=80094) Art DIO's... entech's, and audio alchemy stuff...
so is there any specific product that's solid that i should look out for DAC/ headphone amp wise, beyond the normal flavor of the month stuff...
