Or is it not worth it (maybe the meta doesn't do it justice, idunno)

2. Where can I get replacement CD3000 pads? (or can I get them at all?)

grado pads are cheap.. but nt comfortable.. and that does sound like a nice setup... make sure you get suitable interconnects.
