Anyone had the chance to audition all three (or at least the two)? Curious about overall sound comparisons. Know the upper two have those famed cellulose diaphragms. Can't find much about the 1000's, which I assume has been out of production for awhile. Found a few old threads concerning the 2000's & 3000's, but no direct comparison.

I owned a pair of the CD1000's for five years, and they were quite good.

You forgot the CD17000.

Yes the Sony CD1700, I happen to own a pair, Nanahachi and Joelongwood have a them and both Duncan and Bangraman used to have them as well. There are others but those are the people that popped into my head.

I use mine at work and think they're perfect for that application. There not quite the W100's but they do a decent job and are forgiving enough to not totally kill my ears when listening to some questionable mp3's.

Edit: Ahhhhh, I see goose, you were correcting a spelling error.

I used to own a pair of the CD1700 (which now belongs to Head-Fi member "redshifter"). Too bad I had only crap sources and crap amps at the time, so I didn't really appreciate those 'phones.
