I've been using a Cambridge Audio D300 for over a year now--before that I briefly had an AMC CD8. Both are good units for the price.

These days I'm using a Toshiba SD-2109 DVDP as a CDP. Sounds suprisingly good.

I'm looking into some higher-end offerings perhaps those from Cary or Wadia. Another option I'm *seriously* considering is a good sound card and off-board quality DAC (like the Bel Canto DAC2) and pusing out Monkey's Audio fiels through it. I have a lot of music and a single-disc transport is too much of a hassle for usual listening.

Mainly, I use my headphones with the Sony amp, with the CDP-XE570.

I also have the MP3 CD player and the MD's.

Don't even ask why I don't use the phones with my main home setup...
