I have that Slappa CD sleeves. The Camel 240 one. Won it from a competition.
It is a really great CD storage. If you haven't seen Slappa before, you'll be surprised on how good is the quality compared to those you find from record shops.

If you wanna get Slappa, I recommend the Camel version one. They look much more elegant compared to the other model.

50 bucks for the 240 one is still a darn good bargain IMO.
And no, I'm not saying this because I won a Slappa competition, but they are really that good.

Do you want me to make a review of a Slappa CD sleeves ? I can do that if you want, now that I have a Uni. break...

Yea, I won a gift certificate that funded a 160 CD case. Slappa is the way to go! They make excellent products and have tremendous customer service, you can't go wrong with one of their cases!

I have a quick question about the Slappa cases.

The site says that the cases will hold X cds with liner notes, or 2X without. My question is: If you go the 2X route, are you effectively "stacking" two cds in the same pocket, separated by some felt/other material?

dj_mocok --=--Yeah!! please give a review of the Slappa CD sleaves.
Do the sewn seals cause any perforation effect, meaning tears? Would you or do you keep the booklets and CD's in the same slot, I know this is not recomended but I do it anyways w/ my Caselogic 20 slot CD book. What's the binding type, are they metal ringbinders or commpressed seals or ....? Much thanks in advance.

I'm at work now, I'll do that when I come home this afternoon.
Anyway, to quickly answer some of the question, it doesn't stack together, the CD sleeve has 240 sleeves. I will do a quick review and add some pictures to make it clearer later today (or evening).

I'm sure you'll get one after you read my review. Don't worry, I'll make an honest review, no sweet talking. But they are just so good, nothing to complain about. As requested, review is coming within 12 hours time from now!

Slappa is the only way to go. Pockets are simple, but perfect. Just imagine 2 pockets per space, a higher one and a slightly lower one (with a clear sleeve). I have 3 of the 240's filled with my best CDs and books thus far. I also use their DVD case.

I'd been using Case Logic or whatever they're called for the longest time...but they scratch my cds like a mofo. Now I just tote around the cds in their original cases; cumbersome, but at least they're protected. I really need to get myself one of those Slappa cases if they're as great as everyone claims them to be. I'd need at least the 240 cd capacity case...but holy crap, $30 US for shipping to me compared to $10 for US residents?! They can't be serious...

I don't think I need to make a review anymore. Someone has already done it before.
Check out this review of Slappa CD case at 6moons. Ditto whatever he said there.

Don't think I need to repeat myself again, since he pretty much nailed it already.

If I may just add a few more things apart from what has been said :

- The actual Camel Case looks much better in real life than from the close up pictures of camel case as shown in the review.

- If you ask: "Will my thick album booklet fits in the sleeve?" The answer is most probably yes, unless you're trying to fit in a mini-novel size Album booklet. I could fit in my 34-page CD booklet in the sleeve, although just barely. But hey, how often do you find album cover that thick.

- They look much tougher in real life. They are actually pretty thick, much more sturdier than your usual CD sleeves.

- There is no metal ringbinders, everything is STITCHED, which is good. No glue, no heat-pressed.

- Especially the Camel version, they really look nice, when you pull out your 240 Camel, everyone knows you are serious about your CDs. They just stand out from the rest of the CD sleeves in the competition.

US$50 for 240 one is a steal IMO. I don't know how much is the shipping in your case, but even if I were put in DrOctagon's position, US$50 + $30 shipping, at the price of US$80 is still well worth it in my opinion. I just can't find something as good as that one here in Australia.

If you are serious about your gear (headphone, CDP, and such), why shouldn't you have a proper CD storage as well? It is a part of your audio equipment as well...
Afterall, CDs are the most important thing in your system, without them, your thousand-dollar rig wouldn't have any purpose at all.

Let me know if you have any other question or you need some real life pictures or something.

I'm also a long time user of Case Logic ProSleeves. I haven't noticed any scratches on most of my CDs since I always handle them with extreme care. I can imagine that any dirt specks can wreck havac on the CDs stored in them. However, on a few of CD's which I've had stored in ProSleeves for a long time (over 10 years), there is a slight "hazy" scratching on them. It's really weird since other CDs stored during that length of time don't show it.
