Personally I don't think Cayin will use 2.5d glass on the N8 but we'll see.

It seems unnecessary and a waste of budget.

Cayin seems like a more utilitarian company. Its more likely we'll see a dual scroll wheel design or switchable amp modes before we see a 2.5d glass screen imo.

whatever effing storage connector works is fine. the problem is that most of these DAPs can't handle complicated usb/otg setups with a hub and external power when you're handling an SSD (for example) PLUS usb audio output to an external DAC.

Although I haven't check this out with N8, but USB OTG should works fine, but you can't use USB Audio at the same time as there is only one USB port.

There are limited space to add connectors to DAPs, so adding a dedicated port for external storage is not a technical issue but a practical compromise.

These all are screen related keywords, or can be. No wiping means no smudging means no glass. Obviously this will be the first portable device to use holograms.
