Cayin N6iii: Nothing is Impossible with Gen2 User-replaceable Audio Motherboard

Sep 26, 2024 at 5:04 PM Post #16 of 525
2 modules I'd be very excited to see are 4 channel r2r / 1 bit ladder, and 2x ak4499ex 1x ak4191. Class A on both.. A man can dream :)

Ess and rohm are not too interesting to me for some reason.. But I assume at some point they'll naturally come too.

Maybe a dedicated Dac like the A02, but with the 1bit ladder tech? That could be interesting.

Hello!

Why CS ?
Why DACs 8x ?
:)

Well, I assume someone will ask a similar question when we use ESS or AKM chipset.

We shall explain our products in detail before we launch the product, but we won't discuss the choice of components and technology.

N6iii: Cayin warmth with high marks in detail and dynamics. Generally neutral sounding. Didn't compare directly, but possibly more detailed than the N7. Not quite as organic sounding though. Dynamics have a lot of punch. Hope this one doesn't have the output issues the N7 did.

Thank you for your patience. :beerchug:

The National Day vacation is over and we resume operation this morning, we are wrapping up the R&D notes right now, hopefully we'll announce the launch date very soon, and more detail will be available after that.

As I have read on Weibo, the launch is expected at the end of October (at least in China). Someone mentioned the price of 10,000 yuan ($1400).

It is strange to see so little repercussion on such an important launch from a brand like Cayin, I think it is a very interesting device :)

Waiting for more details!
