Cayin N6ii, Unlimited Possibilities: a fully modularized smart DAP

I have an issue when playing some songs since I got the E02 board. Sometimes the first second of a song is skipped and the song actually starts with that first bit missing. It therefore ruins the intro and is pretty annoying. It doesn’t happen on every song and I cannot see a pattern to it, but it happens enough that I would like to solve it. Does anyone else have this problem and can it be corrected?

Same here. E02 out of the box - and the same problem no matter which player you use - uapp or hiby.
I think we might want to hear the official feedback regarding this problem. Yes, @Andykong?

Hey guys, looking for a little assistance here. I got a different N6ii with E02 and it sounds great so I'm definitely going with that. What would be a good complement module for the E02? I will be using this mostly with the warmer sounding 64 Audio Nio's so wondering if the A01 or the T01 would be the better companion to the E02. Thanks in advance for the help.
I would go with the E01(Single out Class A/AB) or T01(Bal/SE)

It could be another bug from the FW update. @Andykong any ETA on the next FW update to address these issues? For me the N6ii is totally unusable now. Luckily I have an R8 coming in a couple of weeks, which leads me to think that I would probably sell my N6ii. I don’t see a point of keeping something that’s unusable.
Just received the R8. Early A-B comparisons with the N6ii-E02 haven’t convinced me that the R8 is any better sound-wise. Speed and responsiveness are a different story though. The R8 is much better.

That’s fine. N6ii for me is unusable at the moment. I’m not looking for sound improvement with R8, what I’m after is better battery life (my E02 only lasts 6.5-7 hrs), better UI speed, and more power output.

Cayin n6ii + E02 => Super Smokey Litz => Solaris SE => Sedna Shorts (L)...my endgame...for now...lol (This E02 board is something else.)

I think the previous person who replied to you misunderstood your question. Cayin N6ii was certified to support mqa unfolding in hw when using Tidal app or playing standalone MQA flac files. HibyMusic app was not updated to function as UAPP. Unless there is some secret hidden feature :D
Sorry, yes I misunderstood your question.

I would like to hear your thoughts on that comparison after you have had some more time with the R8.

The interface on the n6ii is indeed a little clunky...but I've yet to hear anything top the E02 board sound wise.

How do you rate the E02 against the LP6K ?

N6ii with MQA Playback 02.png
The MQA is a long awaited features in N6ii, we are glad that we can finally deliver this feature to the N6ii users. :beerchug: :beerchug:

we have received numerous requests (HERE, HERE and HERE) or even complaints for MQA (or lack of MQA) support since we launch the N6ii. Cayin is determined to add MQA support to N6ii since the product launch. However we can't promote or making any claim regarding MQA before the product is authenticated, so we only have two choices, we can ignore all inquiry completely, or claimed that we don't plan to do that (HERE), otherwise the same question will keep coming up day after day.

Anyway, the wait is over, all FOUR audio motherboards are authenticated. We have submit the OTA firmware upgrade request to Qualcomm, and we'll issue office firmware release information on our website, Facebook, and this thread as soon as the OTA is scheduled.

For some reason, my system was showing 1.18 as "up to date" end of August but it finally decided to take two steps to v2. :) Very nice Cayin! It's great to hear masters quality on N6ii. Thank you!

Also, I now have four cards in hand and I like E01 the best. A01/T01/E02 all tie for 2nd but T01/A01 probably gets more use over E02 for it's character. Now I'm trying to fend off tube temptation... Ohh Cayin... :)
