Just got my own N6 MKII today from Zeppelin in Singapore after a week or two of trying out. I have to say I have been very satisfied so far. It pairs so well with my Ibasso IT04 and Andromeda. I also bring it up a notch with my oriolus BA300S. I notice a little hiss on low volume level with the tube amp, but very unnoticeable as soon as music kicks in. My only complaint is perhaps the 64GB internal storage. I bought a 256GB card to go with it to fit my entire DSD collections.....
Yes, the options were turned off before scanning as well, but same issue though. But the cayin app works ok except for the selection lag. I would like to ask, if I were to use the Pi Music Player app, will it also bypass the android src just like Cayin/hiby app?
My understanding is that all apps used on this dap will bypass the android src.... but still to test this fully myself. I think on a previous post @Andykong confirmed this.
@Andykong - I have been trying to download the N6ii electronic user manual from your website but under the English version of your site the manual doesn't exist and on the Chinese version it says that I am not authorised to download it - could you please provide a link for this or upload an English version? Thank you.

Wow, what happened? This thread jumped 20 pages within 1 week? I really didn't expect the discussion jumped at this pace.
Anyway, I just read through the new pages quickly, everything seems fine, and I'll response to selected post whenever possible. Since I have left my full-time capacity in Cayin and restructured my service as consultant, I have to offline some of the front-line duties. I have listed several links for your convenient, please subscribe or check them out if you are own or seriously consider N6ii as your digital audio player:
For all after sales support, repair and warranty, please email to service@cayin.cn
Last but not least, I'll always response to forum first, and will only responses to PM after I had followed up with all the discussion at forum. So unless you need me for something that is inappropriate to discuss publicly, please post this in the forum so that everyone can be benefit by your question. In fact, you probably receive an answer from other users before I can response.
With the new coming audio motherboards in the future, we can see a longer or shorter playback time, depending on the DAC used?
Can DSD512 be decoded and power increased ? I am just asking to know a bit what we can expect from new audio motherboards.
And congratulations, your new music player seem like a real value for money and is full of features and I am sure it sounds great, above what competition can offer for same price or higher.
Yes, the current battery duration are measured with A01 Audio Motherboard, this will be directly affected when you install another Audio Motherboard to your N6ii.
DSD512 is unlikely. The bottleneck is the FPGA in the N6ii main unit, so changing to a new Audio Motherboard probably won't make any change on the maximum DSD decoding capability.
N6ii LDAC works in both Tx and Rx mode. The Tx mode is working already, we are working on the Tx mode and will deliver it to current N6ii users through firmware update.
From High Fidelity Portable Audio perspective, Hi-Res Rx mode is more important then Tx mode. N6ii functions as a wireless DAC/Amp when operated in Rx mode, and you can use your mobile phone as your digital source conveniently.
You are looking for background noise by deliberately reduce the signal level so that the noise level become noticeable? Is this really meaningful? Is it really relevant to music listening?
The fact is, we can make our DAP completely silent even when you turn the volume down to 0, but it will sound compressed and less lively when compare to the current turning, especially when the DAP is dealing with a heavier load (such as the IER-Z1R).
Mine is ok. This dap is much much faster than dx220. I can play mobile games with it lolz. Btw it can be warm after playing for a while. But its just normal, just like other daps. Its not really hot like dx220.

That post wasn’t meant to be used as a complaint by me, I love the N6ii, but other people were asking about it so I was giving out what information I could.
Thanks.
Whenever a new DAP is released, the most important question for me is how good is the EQ. Cause I am an EQ freak.
I wish Cowon would release an Android DAP.
But N6ii is slightly different, because of the DTA, all third party applications will bypass the Android SRC and remain Hi-Res all the way through, so you can adopt any music player with more comprehensive EQ function as your main music app.
