Cayin N6ii, Unlimited Possibilities: a fully modularized smart DAP

I would like a dual dac like the one in the N8.

I wouldn't get caught up on this feature, some fully balanced DACs like the RME ADI 2 have a single dac chip as it's built to operate fully balanced all within it self

Not going to say dual DAC doesn't have benefits but single dac chips these days are far more powerful/capable then previously

All in all this unit looks super cool!

One step further would be interchangeable DACs AND interchangeable amps :p
Actually, Cayin is not the first company to implement such a solution. It has been already done previously in Xuelin H8. Though, the guys at Xuelin went even further and made H8 fully modular with swappable DAC, AMP and even LPF modules:) The case is how it is done and will there be much of a demand for it

Chill bro, it was just an FYI.

And yes, who did it first doesn't matter. What matters is who did it better.

You're right, I had cheked it out a while back, stumbled on it on Penon Audio website.
And yes, the case is how it's done, Xuelin H8 was kind of rough

One of Russian local stores has teased N6II price- 49990 rub (~770$). I’m sure, that they did it just to catch more attention from potential clients, before reveal a true price.
But what if Andy actually done something to Cayin engineering team, something like “When you make that DAP twice cheaper, then you have my permission to DIE!”
