I have had only a few small glitches, looks like I was pressing controls too fast and unit took extra time to catch up. The only thing I saw recently was when using my NightOwl, the aftermarket cable's plug did not want to seat properly. So when moving around some, right channel would cut out and sometimes the N5ii wouldn't recognize that a phone was plugged in and put the unit in pause mode. I had to adjust then connector by rotating it or pulling it out and re-seating it. Probably just a specific connector as all the others I have used so far did not exhibit this issue. I am reluctant to keep using this plug as I do not want to cause damage to the 3.5 port... No such issue with the 2.5mm port with a balanced cable.

This is really a great unit. Love its signature. I still need more time to hear differences between this and the X5iii. I like what I am hearing so far.

i got myself one last thursday.i had to choose between dx150 and n5ii. preferred n5ii but both out of stock. waited 3 weeks. got mindset already if dx150 arrives first, ill take it. luckily, both arrived from store on the same day. really happy with the purchase. everything working as it's supposed to. i hope it'll last. fingers crossed

Sorry for the trouble caused! I have already given the feedback to our factory before. Thank you very much for giving N5ii third chance.

Hi, quick and frequent operations indeed may lead N5ii to slow response. My suggestion is that you could operate the controls slower and give it some time to response.

I'm really starting to feel the lack of aptX support on the N5ii. I love my N5ii and have no plans to move on from it any time soon, but I'd like to play around with the MEE BTX1 and sub-aptX bluetooth audio is unbearable.

The last firmware should support aptX, have you updated your N5ii?

I haven't. My N5ii is running really stable on 3.1 so I hadn't rushed to update, but I must have missed the addition of aptX support in the release notes. Thanks!

It did not mention aptX by name but mentioned:

    1. Add new High Quality option to Bluetooth function

Hi, my colleague AndyKong has made a clear explaination rearding APT-X before. Please check it out here: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/cay...tal-audio-player.862763/page-53#post-13961514

So then what exactly is the newly implemented higher quality Bluetooth protocol in the latest firmware?

There is no newly implemented higher quality Bluetooth protocol through N5ii firmware, the hardware solution has limited our choice of protocol, and I don't think there will be any upgrade in BT protocol for N5ii down the road.

The DAP doesn't return to Spotify when I wake it up. Instead, it goes to the default player screen, even if I'm already playing music on Spotify. Then I have to either scroll down and tap on Spotify from the drop down menu, or try to get the side-sweep to function - both are fiddly and shouldn't be required.

I hope the next firmware update fixes this so that the player goes back to the most recent app that was used, even if it's third-party.

I am confused. The first item in the change log for 3.3 stayed the following:
    1. Add new High Quality option to Bluetooth function

But yet you stated there is nothing new. I think there was a toggle switch added to 3.3 under Bluetooth. I don’t have it on me now to check.

I don’t use Bluetooth, but what you stated seems to be opposite of what the changelog stated.

So then what are y'all referring to in the release notes for 3.3 regarding "1. Add new High Quality option to Bluetooth function"? I'm officially confused.
