Cayin, thanks for getting gapless working right in this one (never the case on my Fiio players). It makes the transition between Tool’s Parabol and Parabola tracks AMAZING!!!! :)

    Is it better than dx150?

N5ii? It is quite different, even in sound.

To my ears, N5ii is more neutral than DX150, which is quite thick and meaty :)

I'll be doing my A/B comparison this weekend.

Off the cuff, I think the DX150 has a little more to offer, sonically .

I just demoed the DX150 a few days ago and was very impressed by its sound. I was sceptical that it was 80-90% as good as the DX200 as others have said but after hearing it myself, I can confirm it.

I didn't do any volume matched comparison but to me, the DX150 is noticeably better than the N5ii. In thought it was more spacious sounding with a soundstage that is in the same league as the X7ii and DX200. It wasn't as aggressive at presenting the sound as the N5ii which has a faster attack, the DX150 is a little more relaxed. Another thing I noticed was that the DX150's bass goes really low. I could be wrong though because i thought it went even deeper than the DX200.

Overall, I'd say that the DX150 raises the bar for SQ you can get at 500 bucks. Just like how the N5ii raised the bar at 369 bucks.

I got a moko/poly but getting bored from the lack of Dynamics

IMO having options available is a good thing

Big disappointment here, my N5ii balanced gone wrong 2d time, i already exchanged one, now one chanel working only and if i press on the connector it changes tracks.
There's other issues like the screen blue color known bug, but this time i know there's something def not right with both 3.5 and 2.5, especially the 2.5 is so fragile..just to clarify there's been no physical accident, i got volume problems changing between the 2 inputs before a few times like loud vol suddenly,
    Also serious button issues.
Now, i think despite this the dap is worth it and i am gonna persist one last time, if it happens again i am moving on and my money will go to a company with solid reputation for build quality

Until now the new unit is working flawless.

No turning off at 50% battery, no turning of wen I turn on the WiFi... And of course the sound its lovely :).

    Best regards
