Zhuhai, China, November 23, 2020 – Leading audio manufacturer Zhuhai Spark Electronic Equipment Co., Ltd., marketing their Hi-Fi products under the name of Cayin, announces today that MQA technology will be supported on their N3Pro Vacuum Tube Digital Audio Player. N3Pro users can upgrade their player when they receive OTA alert or download the free firmware package from Cayin website.

MQA stands for Master Quality Authenticated and is an award-winning British technology that delivers the sound of the original master recording. The master MQA file is fully authenticated and captures 100% of the original studio performance. MQA playback is supported via downloaded MQA audio files. When the MQA enabled firmware is installed, Cayin N3Pro will playback MQA material faultlessly. The screen will either display MQA or MQA Studio on the top status bar, alongside the Bit depth or original sampling frequency information. ‘MQA’ or ‘MQA Studio’ indicates that the product is decoding and playing an MQA file. ‘MQA Studio’ indicates it is playing an MQA Studio file, which has either been approved in the studio by the artist/producer or has been verified by the copyright owner.
About N3Pro Digital Audio Player
With a matched pair of JAN6418 NOS miniature vacuum tubes installed in mechanically suspended shock-absorption protection, the N3Pro Digital Audio Player offers, for the first time in DAP history, Dual Timbre (Vacuum Tube vs Solid State) and Dual Operation Mode (Triode vs Ultralinear) through a simple pull-down menu selection. The N3Pro also supports fully balanced headphone output from its 4.4mm connector and delivers up to 800mW@32Ω, making it one of the most sophisticated and powerful dedicated DAP at its price range.
The digital section of N3Pro features two AKM AK4493EQ DAC chipsets in mono mode. The player can natively decode up to DSD256 and 32 Bit/384kHz and can playback all popular file formats.
