Cayin N3Pro DAP: Dual AK4493 and MQA with Vacuum Tube

You can still see everything in folder view when browsing files, but only 20k are indexed when you search/sort (by songs/artist/albums/genre). Andy explained it before, N3Pro, the same as flagship N8, is Unix based which has a different file system handling compared to Android, and they (Cayin/Hiby) had to set the limit based on indexing file size and other limitations associated with it. But if you have a lot more files on your card, some people find it useful to split everything alphabetically in sub-directories for a faster folder search.

This is the only drawback of this DAP, of coz I know nothing is perfect...

I've read a few posts mentioning the single-ended output of the N3Pro is pretty good. Is it worth investing in a balanced cable for my headphones?
I go the route of 2.5mm balanced cable + 3.5mm and 4.4mm adapter for maximum compatibility with all outputs.

I have noticed that when the N3P is playing compressed music files like mp3 or aac it can show an abum art with a resolution higher than 1000X1000 while with flac format the player can't even show an album art with a size of 1000x1000. Where is the logic?

How can I delete the libary to generate a complete new one?

Is balanced better sound compared to single-ended on the N3Pro?
Single ended is better sounding on the N3 Pro according to most if not all N3 Pro users.

Did you ever solve this problem? I use M3U files on my N6ii and they work perfectly. I’m hoping to get my N3Pro soon and M3U file support is critical to me. I have all of my music on my Mac in the folder structure of <Artist>/<Album>/<Songs>. I use Audirvana on the Mac and simply export my playlists using relative paths into M3U files.

I hoping this’ll work fine. I currently have around 5,000 files comprising a mix of FLAC files, M4A and AAC. Everything worked perfectly on the N6ii.

Yes, it works fine now.

Question for the Cayin guys on here: any plans to enable UPnP rendering capability in the N3Pro in the future? I use UPnP (or DLNA) from a phone to stream audio content to a Raspberry Pi computer that acts as a UPnP renderer at home. This eliminates the need to be in Bluetooth range and is a very useful additional way to send music to a device.
