Cayin N3Pro DAP: Dual AK4493 and MQA with Vacuum Tube

Only happens if you switch off and plug in charger. When it is turned on again, the last played song is gone.

I still wish it just pause at the last song rather than auto play/resume like what it is doing now.

I see what you mean, I'd prefer a pause also rather than a auto resume. Maybe in a future firmware update?

Does anyone ever compared N3Pro to n8 and n8 brass?

I don't have N8 for comparison, but from a common sense, something would be wrong if manufacturer makes their "entry" level tube dap to sound the same or better than their flagship that cost 6x more

Yes just wondering how much better are the n8 and if they are worth the money to upgrade? Also are the normal n8 and brass version different sounding?

Does the N3Pro support mqa?

Edit, this is probably incorrect, so please ignore: I don't see MQA listed in the device description, but I had several FLAC encoded MQA files on my playlist, so it seems like it does indeed support MQA.
Correction to my previous statement, MQA can play with degraded quality on devices that don't support it.

Tbh, in many cases the improvement will be hard to quantify, because it could be heavily dependent on your preference and what you are pairing it with. For example, since N8 has more power, you can find a pair of demanding headphones that will sound like crap with N3 Pro and sing with N8 - so the gap will be huge. Or you can try some bright harsh tuned easy to drive IEMs where either one can do magic to smooth out the tonality, and as a result the gap will not be as big when comparing one source to the other.

Umm.. that's now how that works.....
Sorry, file formats are something that always messes me up, particularly when you get it crossed up with MQA encoded files in a FLAC container and whatnot. Care to elaborate what I got wrong here?

Edit: I think I figured it out – with the FLAC container, the MQA file can be played on an player that doesn't support it with degraded quality.

Don't overthink things too much. The 3.5 out SS sounds really nice and close to neutral, the 4.4 has more power and stronger bass, the trilinear mode is soft and smooth with foward rich mids, and the ultralinear is kind of like the SS out with a lucious tube sheen on it.

The SS modes are comparable to the competition and the tube modes are very nice icing  it's a great little dap. I highly recommend it, if you don't need android.

Hello,
I just got N3pro in the mail and open the box then turn on but need help to switch chinese to English since I couldn’t find the way how?🥴

Slide down on the home screen and hit the gear (settings) button (right side) and it's the first or second option. And of course you will see 'english'

I tried but it didn’t work. Maybe because of the film applied on the screen?

Hold on a tic. I'll take a pic. -pics Oh slide UP from the bottom of the screen not down my bad. And language is the third option.
