Cayin will introduce its fourth vacuum tube headphone amplifier later this year. This will fill the gap between HA-1AMK2 and HA-6A and will become the final piece of the puzzle to complete our transformer-coupled vacuum tube amplifier lineup.

The HA-3A shares the same design as HA-6A and HA-300MK2. In fact, when we leaked the first photo of HA-300MK2 in late 2021, we placed an HA-3A prototype alongside our new flagship headphone amplifier, and everyone assumes that is a new finishing for our HA-6A. Although the HA-3A incurred a lot of amplification technologies from its bigger brothers, it is a very compact design with a footprint roughly the size of an A4 sheet.

The new HA-3A vacuum tube headphone amplifier will debut at ChengDu International Headphone Expo (2-3 July 2022) tomorrow. We shall provide more detail and photo after the show. The expect available date is early September 2022, but given the delays and complications from the supply chain and logistics we had with HA-300MK2, we can only promise to try out best with this schedule and will keep you informed in this thread.

Subscribed and stay tuned, this is going to be a very fun journey.

This is my home-trail setup. Sorry for the "informal" quality, this is a quick snap from my mobile phone. We shall provide more photos next week.

Looks like 6V6 or 6L6 power tubes.

It looks like it’s aimed right at the $1k to $2k market for tube amps. If it sounds good it’s going to be solid competition for something like the Woo WA6-SE.

Will be looking into a tube desktop amp later this year. Timing could not have been more perfect. As long as it has 6.3 and 4.4 full balanced, my wallet be damned.

From the photos is looks like an unbalanced (6.35 or 3.5) and a 4.4 balanced and 4 pin XLR balanced. I guess we will know for sure next week when Andy releases the complete info.

The middle output, next to the 4 pin, is definitely 4.4 balanced. I zoomed in after I posted. I would think the left would be 6.3 unbalanced, looks like it in the first picture anyway. This could be the one for me then. Watching for sure.

Yes, I'm just saying I cannot tell about the output on the left if it is a 6.35 or 3.5mm.

Very excited for this one! ZMF will definitely be carrying it. Have been really happy with our Cayin amps, they are top quality, and of the most versatile on the market.

I can tell you this today: 6.35mm + 4.4mm BAL + XLR4 BAL. Cayin used this combination with HA-6A and HA-300MK2, so this become our standard headphone amplifier phone output combination.
