Hi all--

I'm new here, glad to find you all. I recently tried to order a Cayin HA-1A from China High End Hifi (Home). They responded that the HA-1A has been discontinued (which doesn't seem to be accurate) and that it has been replaced by the HA-2. I can't find any info about the HA-2 such as reviews, user opinions, etc. Does anyone have any experience with this amp, and in particular, how it stacks up to the HA-1A?

Note that right now I'm using Ultrasone HFI-700's. I had a fire-damaged set of Grado RS-1's that sounded great (the fire damage was cosmetic only), but a "friend" borrowed them. Whether I get them back or not depends upon whether I ever remove the quotations from around the word "friend" when referring to him.

I just purchased an HA-1A from Blackbird Audio Studios in CA. Great service. I have also purchased some things from Spearit. A lot of folks recommend Michael Galen.

I'm going to compare Lavry Da10 -> Cayin Ha-1A -> K501 & Sextetts
to
Lavry Da10 -> B22 -> HD650 Zu XLR

yeah

I'm going to wait until it arrives to test it out before I spend $ rolling.
It seems that the previous owner kept stock tubes in for the year he owned it.
So maybe they're not terrible.

Yeah it's actually going to be a month before the comparision. My Beta 22 is slowing things down.

EDIT: after I'm going to be selling one of the rigs,
either the Cayin & a sextett, & the K501's
or the Beta 22 & Zu'd HD650..
