Very good condition. Includes original tube and power adapter.

Box is pictured, but not included. Everything works, just didn’t like sound as much as I thought I would.

What were the sound issues with the CTH versus your other amps?

The Cavalli was actually brighter than my other amp, which wasn’t what I was expecting because it was a tube hybrid. I’m sensitive to bright sound signatures. Also it was almost too revealing and showed flaws in any recordings that had them (I guess that can be a positive too)

Three questions:
1. What are your other amps that you compared to get the impression that the CTH was a bit on the bright side?
2. Which headphones were you using with the CTH to get the impression that its a bright amp?
3. Did you use any other tube besides the stock one?
I'm interested in buying the CTH and have heard one that a friend picked up but didn't get to spend much time with it since we were listening to so many different headphones and amps at the time. I didn't remember the CTH being bright since it was decent with my HE560 and HD700, the only 2 headphones I tried on the CTH at the time.

Magni 3 - Was bright also
Monoprice dac amp combo - warmer, preferred
Little dot mk 2 also warmer more what I expected probably because it’s otl

I tried it with 650s, jubilees, and m1060s. All of which are on the darker side as you know. I don’t think it’s bright, not gonna be like using Beyer dynamics it was just brighter than my other amps

Nice to see that you trust your own hearing and thanks for the quick reply.
I'm assuming that you did not try any other tubes in the CTH and I think its something you might want to try before selling the CTH. I was talking to my friend who has the CTH and she told me that when I heard them a few weeks ago she had changed the stock tube to a Amperex SQ, (a fairly warm tube) so your impressions that the CTH is a bit on the bright side is probably correct along with the Magni3 also being a bit on the bright side of neutral.

I haven't heard a LD mk2 in a long time but it was a bit too warm sounding with my HD650 when I tried the pairing, almost as warm as the Elise with stock tubes IIRC.
