Hmmm mid May, for the the Yggdrasil, that is good news. I hope to order one, towards the end of May. I hope your time-line holds true, will keep my fingers crossed.

I'm just putting that out there cause I know I'll be able to order mine on April 20 and you'll be asleep at the wheel.

I'd probably find something else to obsess over between now and mid-August, assuming you were successful - we were promised Yggdrasil at the beginning of 2015 and that's now looking increasingly like a mid-May rollout. All good things come to those who wait, or so they tell me  :D

Oh yeah I was successful alright #433. Suppose we can now agonize over the Yggy... Boy we are lurching from pillar to post:smile:

Thinking of hooking up the "balanced" Ak240 with the Cavalli... It sounds like my "hotel rig" will be ready :)

I've started looking up parts to make myself a cable to hook my AK120ii up balanced and to re-terminate my T1's with a 4 pin XLR plug.  I guess I've got 4 months to make the interconnect cable 2.5trrs to twin 3 XLR, reterminate the T1's, and make a 4 pin XLR to 1/4" TRS SE adapter.

Should be fun...

I was doing this for the first time ever and from India. When the server went down, for about 5 minutes, I was ready to kick out a few doors. Sanity prevailed and once in, everything went like clockwork, including PayPal notification and order confirmation from Cavalli. It was an action packed evening for me.

You guys are wait wimps

 - try waiting 5 years for a very special audio analysis system, which if all comes together will finally deliver mid to late 2015. I've been in that queue since Jul 2010.

I figured the site was having problems and knew there was a stampede of which I was contributing. I was 467 at 10 minutes.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there were about 100 of us who kept hitting F5 trying to get "Coming Soon" to turn into "Add to Cart".  Given the number of people who actually bought in that time period, it's hard to believe there was a problem.  But with that many people hitting refresh over and over, yeah, I guess that could do it.

The number is on your confirmation email you received.  If you didn't get an email (check your junk), then you can email support.cavalliaudio.com to request one to be sent.  I'm waiting on my confirming email as well.

Just received from Cavalli's support the order confirmation : #572.
Mr Cavalli confirms no problem for 240V.

Order 429......This was 1 of a handful of products that really impressed me at CanJam a few weeks ago. If you told me the sound was coming from one of his bigger amp I would have believed you. I kept looking at the little box and thought how can this be. This will prove to be a fantastic bedroom rig!!

Does the LC have enough power to satisfactorily drive the HE-560s via its single-ended output?

The LC specs state approx 1.5W @ 50ohm. Is this a "fully balanced" spec? If so I would assume the SE spec would be about half that power.

The HE-560 is 50 ohm and 90 dB SPL / mW. That implies one could listen at an average of 100 dB SPL using 10mW with peaks reaching 110 dB SPL with 100mW assuming the music had crest factors of 10 dB. You will go deaf at those levels. The LC should have no trouble driving 100mW.

Possibly. But you are right the 1.5W is for balanced out. SE out will be 1/4 of that. With balanced connection you might have a good result.

I think that someone brought a 560 to CanJam and we borrowed a balanced cable from HiFiMan. IIRC, with that rig he was very happy.
