read a study surveyed 600 cat owners and found cat psychopathy is prevalent some owners found them even demonic. we submit ours to continuous affection to counter this......
I read where cats need 2 hours attention/interaction a day to maintain good mental health. I'm with Tut all day/every day and he moves from rom to room when I do to be closer to me.

But sometime I have things to do and he can get very needy, to the point of annoying. I made a sound like he did to mock him and he looked down like it hurt his feelings...Which made me feel extremely guilty so I try to remember that when he starts to get ion my nerves.

CatTV has been a big help keeping him occupied and out of my hair. He will sit in front of the TV and wait for me to crack to it and get him something to watch. He took great interest in a video that featured little white mice, birds and squirrells are good, but mice...

While my cats receive a lot of random Interaktion each day, we also have a dedicated playtime.

Every day 7 p.m. we play with cat toys, get some sporty energy going.

It helps the cats with physical health to move around (they are indoor cats after all) and it helps my mental health to see the little ones happy

My Maine Coon is so needy as well but this is common with this breed. Follows me room to room. Sits near me the whole day while I work from home. Sleeps on window hammock over the bed. As I’m typing this he’s trying to get my attention. He sometimes gives me some space while either sleeping in our sink or in the bathtub splashing around water we leave in bowls.

I’m actually not a cat person but heard Maine Coons were the most dog like. He’s more of a dog than my actual dog and he’s even bigger and plays fetch. Believe little over 18lbs and still have 3 more years of growth too, maybe another 2-3 lbs.

I never trim Tut's, he sharpens them, the outer layer is shed and I pick them up to be used later. I watch for whiskers and they are considered to be good luck. I have one tucked down the sweatband in mt Shotokan ball cap.and am lucky just to have him.

I always talk babytalk to him, answer him every time he says somehing, lavishly pet and brush him and sing to him every day. That is like me purring and seems to relax hin\.

I'd dance if it would make him happy. On the catwalk,

Yes the catwalk, I would do my little dance on the catwalk

We had our cat William shut in a cage in the lounge for weeks recovering after surgery when he got hit by a car. The TV got left going with big cat documentaries running. I don't know if that helped as a calming influence or just got him more annoyed watching big felines, who hadn't been shut inside by inconsiderate owners!

Sunny in my lap while I’m chilling to music…
Big day for cat music! Not for me though. July and August have been HOT for us and the boys want their own space.

Hopefully we are back hangin' out in September. :relaxed:

These toe beans are more challenging to cut, but done.
