Do we have many cat fanciers around here?

Here are a few pics of my cat, Bitzi... got her from the Humane Society on August 4th of this year, after my last cat Penelope died of heart disease on July 21. Appearance-wise, she seems to be mostly Bombay (with the exception of the length of her fur, too long for a show cat anyway).

Excellent cat for a headphone listener, since she hardly sheds (and her fur is black, so it doesn't show up on clothes much). She's a real handful though... 2 years old and full of energy. Enjoys knocking cups that contain ice cubes off tabletops, I think she just likes to see the ice cubes go flying...

She's mellowed out some recently though (THANK GOD). Also likes sleeping in bathtubs (yes you read that right, sleeping IN bathtubs) and pretty much ignores whatever water may be on the bottom! Quite a weird cat.

My cat thinks it's a dog, does that count? I'll try and get some pics for later, the cats name is Guava. Again, yes its the fruit, my pets are the fruits, and the owners the nuts

Heh, I have a couple Pugs which act like cats - well at least the lounging in my lap part and the snorting which is kinda like purring.

I'm generally a cat person, just don't like having one confined to a little condo... the dogs can be walked.

That's a very attractive cat, IMO. He/she looks older (over 10), am I right?

While I would love to have a pet cat three things make me not want them right now.

1. I am very very allergic to them.

2. Cat owners near me are irresponsible and keep them outside all the time, where they pee and poop everywhere, and some are ridden with fleas. They fight all the time and wake everyone up at 3 -5am.

3. They'll eat hamsters.

Other than that, some are really cute. Responsible owners here keep them indoors and I have seen some pretty funny window sill platforms, where they sleep pressed up against the window catching some sun.

Noooooo, you're way off. He is known as......."Kenshin" and is barely a year old!

As for cleanliness, my cat never steps outside the house and receives a bath every 2 weeks. I loathe dirty animals.

Oops! Well, I thought he looked like an older cat... shows what I know (not much).

My cat takes care of that herself (and occasionally cleans my beard for me a bit as well

and you live to tell us this? Wow...my gf once bathed her cats. The one we expected to be most complacent dug her teeth right into my gf's arm, really nasty bite. Fortunately, she's clean and has had her shots and never goes out. The one we expected to put up a fight just meowed a lot and kinda let us get away with it. This one loves to hang out in the bathroom, especially the tub where her meows echo loudly and comes off sounding like a baby sometimes. I gotta post some pics of the girls later.

Just posted in the 'Spider Appreciation' thread, now I'm replying to this... man I need a girlfriend.

Or perhaps a p-u-s-s-y... I fuxkin adore em, I swear I can be in the WORST mood and all it takes is a little kitty to turn that frown upsidedown, it's magic. I even have this fantasy where I get killed and eaten by a female lion!

Those are all great qualities to have in a girlfriend.
