Which do you believe is the ultimate cable maker?

Cardas because they make my HD600 happy.

You're going to need to add a lot more boxes as there are a lot more cable manufacturers than the ones you name that people use around here. Also, you're assuming everyone has heard each of these cable makers cables to be able to make a fair assessment. Of course, that didn't stop me from voting VD. I've heard the following higher-quality cables in my suystem:

MIT Terminator 2
Audio Magic Spellcaster
Monster Z-Series
Music Metre Signature
Monster M1000
Stealth Cables FLR

These range in price from $120 to $400. My VD reference ICs are leagues better. As for power cables, I've only ever heard the VD cables, but they're the best tweak I've ever used in my system, giving me more improvement over ICs, even VD ICs.

Cardas and VD are usually the two companies people "gush" all over. (I over added PS Audio because I personally like the stuff on the there sight

I voted for VD as far as power and IC's go, but I absolutely loved the Equinox headphone cables I had for my Senn 600s. They took an already great headphone and pushed it a notch or two better in my system!!

I didn't vote. This is just to system reliant, and depends on personal preference. Although, after what I heard a few days ago in my system, I wonder why Kimber isn’t there?

If this question is for anyone in genneral: (2) Signature power cables and a 1 meter Reference IC. So far they sound awesome.

there is no completely nuetral interconnect/cable....finding the right fit for YOU and YOUR system is key

Agreed

I've had good luck with Kimber, as well as: DiMarzio, Cardas, Nordost, Outlaw, and even some Monster in my systems (HT and Headphone)



The VD Power 3 are the only products in their line I've tried, however....

Also, to be fair, (IMO) I think only cables in similar price ranges should be compared to one another... for exaple you shouldn't expect the Outlaw PCAs to hold their own with Cardas Nuetral Refs, if the do, in your system, you've got one hell of a score!
