is it possible to use a pair of car tweeters as headphone speakers? I have an aiwa hp-x223 headphone set, and the original right driver died; since then i have been putting other speakers i can't get my hands on (aiwa wants me to send the whole thing back for $26.95; i don't want to do that). car tweeters i have found have the frequency range & sensitivity i want, but not enough impedence. would it work anyway, or am i being absurd?

if you can get the range out of a tweeter, then yes, it can be used as a headphone driver.

i have often toyed with the idea of using a pair of 3.5" combination mid/tweeter speakers as headphones. my 6.75" combination speakers sound AWSOME when held near my head, but my arms get tired, and im sure my neck would too.
