Hi all,

I've recently purchased a used Creek Destiny CD player and discovered that the stock caps are bulging.
I have a thread on diyAudio and was recommended to replace those, and other caps as well.
I got recommendations to use Panasonic FM/FC for the bulging caps, but nothing specific for the other ones.

I am attaching a photo of the board, could someone help me identify what the purpose of each cap is?
The caps used originally are:
SAMWHA WB 35V, 1000uf, 105c
SAMWHA WB 35V, 10uf, 105c
NOVER RX 10V, 100uf, 105c
NOVER RX 50V, 22uf, 105c, 5mm
SAMWHA HC 25wv, 4700uf, 85c

For the Samwha WB, I think Pana FM is a good choice. (high current ripple, low impedance)
But what about the others? The Novers are located in the voltage regulator (?) and near the DAC chip, and output RCA's.

One recommendation was to just use Pana FM/FC on the entire board.

Should I just do that or is it recommended to use something else around the chips / output ?
Also, any idea what those 4700uf are doing?

Thanks alot!

After an extensive search for caps in the original voltage/current ratings, the best ones for each rating are not necessarily from the same series.
Based on ripple current, impedance, lifetime and diameter, these were the most suitable that I found:

35V/1000uf - Panasonic FM
35V/10uf - Nichicon PW
25V/4700uf - UCC KZN, Nichicon HE (may not fit), Panasonic FC (may not fit)
50V/22uf - Panasonic FM/FR (FR longer lifetime)
10V/100uf - Panasonic FM/FR (FR as above)

Is it OK to mix and match brands/series ? Or is it better to stick to the same brand?
