I just got a FiiO E17 along with a 250ohm Beyerdynamic DT 880. When I plug the headphones into my desktop they work great but when I switched it to the FiiO I can't get any sound play. I made sure my Playback devices were set correctly, restarted the computer , etc, still no sound. I'm completely amateur at this audiophile thing, so I'd appreciate it if you used small words. :P

Thanks!

Have you chosen USB as the input?

What music playing software are you using?

Are you sure you are plugging into the headphone output and not the optical?

Yes I made sure the USB was the input.

I primarily use Spottily, but I'm not getting any audio from any programs.

I'm plugging my headphones into the SPDIF IN hole.

why plugged your phone in SPDIF In ? Connect E17 to your Desktop again, choose E17 as a DAC, set Default. Play the music, try WMP or KMP ( if u use Foobar, pls CTRL + P , go to output setting and choose E17 as the DAC ), plug your phone in the " HEADPHONE JACK "

Yeah, totally wrong there. You should have plugged headphone to the 'headphone-out'...
