Can't hear any difference between the sound from a Chords Mojo and a built-in Realtek HD-card with a Beyerdynamic 770DT 600 Ohm. Any suggestions to why?

Probably the biggest problem is the 600 ohm headphone. High z cans like a higher output impedance and the Mojo is under a ohm don't know about the computer but I bet fairly low also. The Mojo is very good and have not heard a onboard computer sound that comes remotely close there might be one but again I doubt it. It could also be your hearing acuity.

Use an IEM. Mojo excels in many, but not all IEMs though, but any IEM should be fine.

What kind of file are you listening to, wav, FLAC, ALAC, high-quality MP3/MP4? Also, make sure you have original source files for your music, not YouTube rips. Lastly, what kind of music? Even if it isn't your favorite music, track down some of the finest recordings in classical, instrument, rock, etc.

If in the end, they sound the same, perhaps you don't need the Mojo. If you are enjoying your music with the Realtek, then stick with that.

Try playing FLAC music files using Foobar2000 (with the WASAPI installed), see if there is a difference.

Thanks for serious answers. I don't think it relies on my hearing ability, and I've tried listening to high quality recordings without hearing any difference. I find it strange since I've read such good reviews regarding the Mojo. I know there is better headsets out there, but in my humble opinion I should be hearing some difference..

Well don't know. Have you disabled the soundcard in bios? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Mojo Drivers ? I have Realtek onboard sound on my PC and it can not get close to being as good as a outboard dac had a Teac UD-301 and E-MU 0404 and both were much better. One other thing why did you buy 600 ohm cans to play out of a computer?

Do you max out the computer's volume controls, when using the Mojo?
(It helps to send a strong signal from the source)
