Well, here goes nothing.

I've been perusing these forums for a couple of weeks now, and, in my quest for a pair of headphones within my budget, I have come up with three contenders. I will be using these headphones about 60% of the time for music, and 40% of the time for gaming. Suffice to say that I will be using these phones for several hours a day, so I want a pair that is comfy and durable. I primarily play FPS's, and, as far as my musical tastes go, I'm in to rock/classical/jazz.

I am considering the HD 595 and the A900's. However, since I will likely make only one headphone purchase in the next few years, I'm also willing to splurge for a pair of DT 880's (and a sub 100$ amp, most likely a PA2V2). I'm open to other headphone/amp suggestions, but I would like input on the three listed above.

I think the HD 595 would be a very good choice. It's a great all-rounder.

HD595 + amp I'd say then...

Obviously A900. It's nearly unrival in gaming and having better music seperation then HD555.

It means tie between HD595 and A900 in music.
