Cannibalsing Sony MDRV150s?

I've accumulated a few pairs of MDRV150s, and after seeing the lengths head-fiers will go to mod, I'm wondering if there are any worthwhile mods, or use for the drivers, pads, headband, etc. Really more out of curiosity and a reluctance to just throw them away. Most of my listening bases are now covered by Grado SR80s, K501s, or the pair of EX71s I keep in my jacket pocket for emergencies. I may replace the EX71s with KSC75s after listening to the pair I just bought my wife.

a couple of ideas:
*put in a pair of KSC55 drivers then you get good sounding closed-back phones (will be quite a bit better than teh original MDR), similar to this TD60 driver transplant: http://www.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=241568

*you might be able to use the headband & cable for a woody mod, like in this one http://www.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=241497
