CanJam Shanghai 2025 Event + Impressions Thread (June 14-15, 2025)

FATfreq was just added, that was one i was hoping for. But unrelated to that, i still miss Ultimate Ears, Vision Ears (With their brand new Lineup), Sony, Audio Technica, Shure, Westone

Sennheiser seems to be there but in my experience they only showcase products from Sonova Hearing, actual Sennheiser Products are no longer shown (maybe that changed?), but Beyerdynamic is there (Which is strange but a pleasant surprise.

But as it seems, Exhibitors are still being added to the list

There was a Sennheiser room last year for the 620s (or whatever product was just released), as well as the HD800s, 820, inter alia. I don't follow IEMs, so I don't remember. But as you can imagine, you will mostly find Chifi IEMs (such was the case during Shenzhen audio show last weekend). Given it's Canjam, there will be some more international brands than at domestically organized conventions.

It's also a matter of distribution rights. While some retailers may carry certain brands in their store, they aren't official retailers. So they won't bring these to show/ leave it up to the official distributor in the region, e.g. ZMF is nonexistent at China or HK shows.

Yeah, those Headphones are all from Sonova Hearing (who is allowed to use the Brand Name Sennheiser for their products). The new HD 490 Pro (that replaces the HD600/HD650) is usually not on show as this is an actual Sennheiser and Sennheiser no longer shows Sennheiser Headphones on their shows (I was told so by several people)

Just to mention if you’re unaware, but there’s a store Endgame audio in Shanghai that sells ZMF headphones. They’re on Taobao under that name too.

He doesn't come to shows (well, I think he did, once? As the sole China ZMF distributor, would be great if he showed up to more events, no?). He wasn't at CJ Shanghai last year either. I got my VC Stab allocation from him.
