Yes. They were there. I dont remember the original but i enjoyed the 18s and their yet to be named iem (K9). Im going back tomorrow to get another listen.

Listened to quite a bit there today.

TWS
Liberty 2 Pro's were full-bodied. Lots of treble and bass. May pick one of those up
RHA TWS - More refined version of the Libertys but i had cut-out issues and 5 hours on a single charge is a deal breaker.

Favorite IEMs
QDC Anole VX - Still the king
EE Valkyerie - very close to the king
A64 U18
EE Wraith
A64 K9
UM Mest

Disapointing
Final A8000 (D?)
Meze Penta
Most of Noble line
Very interesting and you rate them the same way i do so am interested to know what you liked about the A64 K9? Haven't tried the Anole VX; is it really that great?

Alex is a really thorough reviewer, so he is currently recovering after eating at least one of everything.

Sorry, but buffet review might not happen. I'm not too keen to having thorough reviews after spending only 15-20min with audio gear, and the same goes for my lunch where I spent only a few minutes with every piece of food :D

Hmm, I might have to go back there again, the next time I'm in NYC, and really take my time at the buffet

Any news about the Chord Mojo 2 ? Has someone asked to Chord about it ?

Nope. If I had to guess, I don’t think we will see a successor for at least another year if not more.

I auditioned pretty much all the line of Zmf and I found the earpads affect the sound signature, I liked the verite closed and eikon closed where my favorites. I think Eikon had better resolution and deeper bass.

@GarageBoy
FWIW I have both of these headphones. IMO VC has better resolution and awesome bass. Eikon has great sub-bass especially but cannot match VC elsewhere. VC is an overall superior headphone IMO.

I mention not to be disagreeable but because I have these in daily use for months outside show conditions and thought relevant. I do love them both.

As ever - your setup and preferences win v internet commentary such as mine in this case

Why ? Mojo was released in 2015 and 5 years passed. Second gen products are usually released in 1-3 years, I think the time has came for the new Mojo.

Mojo 2 with sound quality and functionality improvements would be a big hit!

Not all high end audio products follow the release cycle of general consumer electronics. The Mojo is still one of, if not the, best DACs under $500. Aside from updating to USB-C, there is no real modernization needed.

I got mine off ebay from this seller: https://www.ebay.com/usr/chelsss0915?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2754 I think he makes them in batches. Might want to shoot them a msg.

Late last year or early this year there was a post on the Mojo forum regarding a Mojo 2. Chord laid out the years roadmap to dealers and made mention that their was nothing currently in the works for a second version.

I agree, USB C would be a great addition...I would like to see them update the Hugo 2 to include USB C as well, but not likely!

The 2GO looks like a great device and if it works as well as the Poly (the current version with newer software) than it is going to be great! The MojoPoly made travel with the Mojo much more convenient and sounded stellar. I imagine the 2Go will do the same.

Hugo was upgraded to Hugo 2.
Mojo is (loosely) based on Hugo.
Why not release Mojo 2 based on Hugo 2 design?
I agree that in HiFi, DAPs excluded, release cycles are MUCH longer than consumer. But 5 years......

As always Jude and company put together a wonderful show, turnout was excellent both days. I changed my plan of attack a bit differently than usual. I left my camera behind (as I know there will be plenty of picture taking going on) and made a short list of must hear products. Not surprisingly the new HEDD was top of that list. One of my buddies has his order in and will be receiving when the second batch goes out. Great to see Jude and it was a pleasure getting to meet Joe of the Head Fi staff, really nice fellow. Again, I waited too long to purchase a show shirt, next year it will be the first thing I do. They sold a bunch and the size small would maybe make a nice hat for me but that would be about it. Of course the fellowship is one of the best parts of the hobby and got to see and speak to a bunch of headphone buddies and vendors who I have gotten to know.

One of the phones I was interested in hearing was the Audio Technica
AT-ATH5000 top line open phone, it was very enjoyable as were a couple of the new wood backed designs. Enjoyed my conversation with Frank Doris who was manning the table. I may keep an eye out for a 5000 in my future. After spending some talk time with Jim Moulton of Noble Audio I have a much better idea of why their IEMs are held in such high regard. Listened to the current top of the line and also the Encore, superb performance, lots of air and depth, great product that deserves the reputation and success it has. I think there may be one of their IEMs in my collection sooner than later. I had a very nice conversation with Douglas from Stax, very enjoyable. I had been an authorized Stax dealer for most of my years in retail audio. As usual I had some fun conversations from the crew at the Auris table who continue to offer some great sounding and very unique products. Fun, fun, fun. Their new portable @ $249 was killer sound and value.

Will follow up with more later but my advice would be to plan on getting to any CanJam that is within reach for you. If you have never gotten to one you need to change that if possible.

Alex, what is your favorite beverage while enjoying audio ? How do you keep up all the moods to go through reviewing all the crazy new releases LOL! I would burn myself out to try and compare A/B between only 2 units
