... and DO NOT forget, two floors above the showroom on 8th floor at Marriott there is a food court area with a buffet :D You have to ask for it specifically cause they will just sit you down at the table with a menu to order $20 burger/fries, while you can stuff yourself with as much food and deserts as you like for $21 :)

Only was able to attend yesterday, and one day is never enough, but it was a GREAT SHOW!!! For sure, bigger than least year, despite CoV and a number of manufacturers from Asia not being able to attend.

Always enjoy talking to different manufacturers, Head-fi crew, and other head-fiers attending the show!

And my traditional signature picture at the end of the day with @jude , actually taken this year by Steve Guttenberg (audiophiliac) himself while he was standing next to Axel Grell. Yep, you get a chance to see/meet some real legends at the show :)

Will work on show report later...

Please tell us more about UM MEST please.
It is a nice piece. I liked the treble better than on the v3+, but would certainly have to audition longer to fully verify that. The bass is light as compared to my Anole VX, but my VX is custom and way more expensive. But it was still good. I will say this though, the Dunu Luna impressed me more. Now that is $600.00 more, but I felt it just sounded right, if you know what I mean. I want to say the bass was better and the treble was smoother yet detailed, but I listened to them hours apart and listening memory is completely unreliable. I can say that I was not wowed but the Mest, but impressed at its quality and price. The Luna just hit me and if I bought one of the two, I would save up and wait for the Luna. Of course if you could get a deal from MusicTeck ( they had the UM’s at their tables) then the Mest’s price to performance ratio might swing even higher. Tks.

Thanks. I don't have these headphones anywhere nearby, so we'll have to trust Jude's words, but according to him that is something!

Also, there are still several hours left to sign-up and win a hip-dac at our booth at NYC CanJam.

I use your bags you gave away quite often going shopping.

That is free advertising! You should get something from iFi for spreading the word (and brand)...
I think iFi should send you a lifetime supply of Twizzlers - the perfect treat for you!!

Alex owns the buffet, hence why he is getting you to spend that extra $1. I am on to his trap.

It seems both are being said as great.

I need someone to test heavy metal on the Dunu Luna, because the chamber acoustic setup on the A8000 makes it sound perfectly represented. Independent of the great driver material tech.

so A8000 works “perfect” for metal ? ( my main genre too )

If anyone makes it into the DCS suite can they let me know which isolation platforms they are using underneath the BARTOK? I forgot the name

Yeah perfect is a horrible word. It is the best representation out of all my iems. Even the multi-BA ones. Even the planar Tin Hifi P1 or Lcd-i4 after EQ from my E1da PowerDac V2.

If you're an electrostatic headphone fan -- or interested in hearing an impressive electrostatic headphone system -- check out the corsonus exhibit. I heard their amp driving the STAX SR-009 and was mighty impressed.

Im not here to criticize Beyerdynamic but everything was under performing, I know they have good headphone but the A20 AMP
need to go, it doesn't supply enough power to the T1 and the DT 1990 was full distortion passing 60-70% volume of the AMP.
Also a Switzerland brand but that is something else, just the PRE-AMP/DAC has the same price of a new 2020 Honda Pilot
